We are pleased to announce that we have signed a contract with Vanalinna Ehitus OÜ for the completion of a new interesting project! For the production and installation of the steel frame of the Tallinn Creative and Circular Economy Building located at Poldri 3. In addition to the steel elements, we also supply and install Z-beams.
Total volume of approx. 60T of steel elements!
According to Kaidur Karba, Chairman of the Board of Vanalinna Ehitus, the old warehouse building with a single-gable roof, which is being reconstructed, will be converted into a two-story representative building of the Creative and Circular Economy Center during the works.
The construction works are based on the winning design of the concept competition "KASK", the authors of which are the architectural offices Projektibüroo and LARStuudio (formerly known as 4Arhitekt) and the architects Jane Terask (Projektibüroo) and Linda Li Arro, Anete Sameselg, Rasmus Ink and Liisbeth Põldre (LARSTuudio).
The building is inspired by the birch tree, all parts of which – trunk, bark, branches, holes, sap and tar – are valuable raw materials from which various products can be made. The facade is inspired by the birch in black and light grey tones, the severity of which is balanced by the greenery of the leaves. The rectangular form of the building uses various articulation techniques, which make the volume of the building visually shorter and more versatile.
